Derek Hunt Added To Hall Of Shame - Drunk Driving In Field

(HURON EAST, ON) - On December 15, 2012 at 11:35 p.m. Huron OPP officers were notified of a motor vehicle collision involving a possible impaired driver. Officers arrived at a “T†intersection at Perth Road 180 and Canada Company Road. A red GMC pickup truck was found approximately 50 meters off the roadway in a field. Officers spoke with the male driver and observed signs that he was impaired by alcohol. He also refused to provide a suitable of his breath to determine his Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC).
Derek HUNT, 34, from West Perth, has been charged with Impaired Driving and Fail to Provide Breath Sample. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on February 21, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
