67 Year Old Drunk Driver Drives Into Woods - Name Relased

At approximately 1:50 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received information about a possible impaired driver that had driven into the woods just off of Wildlife Line.
Officers arrived a few minutes later and located a Hyundai Elantra just off of a dirt road access point into the Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area. The driver had driven off the roadway into a brush/tree area. Upon speaking with the male driver several signs of impairment were observed.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for subsequent breath tests. He subsequently provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of his samples registered over the legal limit.
67-year-old Terry BATTISTON from Corunna has been charged with Impaired Care & Control and Care & Control - Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol.
He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 20, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich. He also received an automatic 90-day driver's licence suspension and his vehicle was towed and impounded.
