4 Mailbox Busters Arrested Could Face 2 Year Prison Term X24

At approximately 10:30 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to calls regarding damage to a mailbox in the area of Perth Line 39. Following a thorough investigation, it was determined that twenty-four mailboxes had been damaged.
Four suspects were located and arrested in connection with the occurrence.
Nineteen-year-old Graeme LANDERS of the City of Stratford was charged with the following offences:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, and Mischief Under $5000.00, contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code.
Eighteen-year-old Kyle BOERSEN of the Township of Perth South was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code; Mischief Under $5000.00, contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code, and Person Under 19 Years Having Liquor, contrary to section 30(8) of the Liquor Licence Act.
Two young persons as defined by the Youth Criminal Justice Act were also arrested and charged with the two Criminal Code and one Liquor Licence Act offences. All were released on a Promise to Appear and will attend a future court date.
These senseless acts have financial consequences to the victims and leave those responsible with a criminal record.
