$50,000 Reward - Cold Case Murder - Donna Jean AWCOCK

The investigation into the homicide under the direction of CIB Detective Inspector Randy Wright remains open. The OPP is confident that someone in the community has vital information that would help point to the person or persons responsible for her murder.
Donna Awcock failed to return home from a babysitting job on Thursday, October 13, 1983 at an apartment on Cheyenne Avenue (known now as Oakville Avenue) in London Ontario. She was reported missing that same date.
Investigators discovered that she had left the apartment around 2:30 a.m., intent on buying cigarettes at a corner store. She never returned. Her body was located on Friday, October 14, 1983, approximately two (2) kilometres northeast of her home on the banks of the Thames River, just west of the Fanshawe Dam. The cause of death was manual strangulation.

The Government of the Province of Ontario is offering a reward in the amount of $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Donna Jean AWCOCK.
