Transport Driver Charged Following Collision At Intersection Of Hwy 9 & 4

The collision occurred when the tractor trailer, which was travelling westbound on Highway 9, proceeded to make a left turn onto Bruce County Road 4 across the path of an eastbound passenger vehicle.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 57-year old male from Oshawa, sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the transport truck, 36-year old Lavjot VIRK of Brampton, was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Fail to Afford Reasonable Opportunity to Avoid Collision under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
