The Perth County OPP reminds all members of the public that there are many instances in which a situation may appear suspicious; however, not all unknown situations pose safety risks to the public. Timely reporting allows police to immediately investigate these incidents, identify those involved, and take necessary steps to ensure public safety.
Situations such as this also act as a reminder to all of the importance of ongoing discussions with our children. Children must be encouraged to report incidents to a trusted adult immediately. This was demonstrated on February 7, 2018, and as a result, police were able to locate and speak with the involved individual.
The Perth County OPP thanks the public and the staff of Little Falls Elementary School for their assistance. Working together, we can ensure that our communities are safe for everyone.
