Late For Work Excuse Used For Going 70 Over Speed Limit - Paula ARBO Charged & Vehicle Towed

Just after 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling eastbound on Huron Road near Whys Line when he observed a Dodge Caravan travelling westbound at a very high rate of speed. A RADAR device was used to confirm his observations and the speed of the van was measured at a rate in excess of 70 km/h over the posted 80 km/h speed limit.
Upon stopping the driver she informed the officer she was speeding because she was late for work. Paula ARBO, 34 years of age from Hensall has been charged with Racing. She will have to attend Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich on May 1, 2018 to answer to her charge. Her licence has been suspended for seven days and her vehicle was also impounded for the week.
