Methamphetamine Bust On Lucknow Line - Richard MARTIN & April TONE Arrested

Just after 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to check out a driver that appeared to be sleeping in his vehicle that was parked on Lucknow Line near Glen's Hill Road.
Upon arrival police found both the driver and passenger sleeping in the vehicle. Police woke up the occupants and upon speaking with the female passenger it was learned she was wanted on an outstanding warrant from South Bruce OPP. Additionally, police discovered there was open alcohol within the vehicle. A subsequent search of the motor vehicle revealed a small quantity of methamphetamine and cannabis marihuana inside the vehicle.
While speaking with the driver police noted the driver to be exhibiting signs that he was under the influence of a drug and his ability to drive was impaired. As a result the driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for further testing by a Drug Recognition Evaluator (DRE). Upon completion of the DRE tests it was determined the driver was impaired by a drug.
52-year-old Richard MARTIN from Harriston has been charged with Care & Control While Impaired by a Drug, Possession of a Schedule II Substance - Cannabis Marihuana and Possession of a Schedule I Substance Methamphetamine. He has been released from custody with a court date scheduled for May 28, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
39-year-old April TONE from Harriston has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance - Cannabis Marihuana, Possession of a Schedule I Substance Methamphetamine and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. She was released from custody with a court date scheduled for May 28, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
