Kawartha Lakes Weekend Update

The following persons were charged as a result of investigations.
On Saturday May 5, 2018 at approximately 1pm a traffic complaint was received of a suspected impaired driver southbound on Kawartha Lakes Road 121 from the Kinmount area. The vehicle was located and following an investigation the driver, 53 year old Branislav KUSIC of Markham, was arrested and charged with Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample contrary to section 254(5) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC). The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on June 21, 2018.
On Saturday May 5, 2018 two separate reports of theft were received from businesses in Bobcaygeon. Following an investigation William DOHANEY, 53 years of age of Bobcaygeon, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Theft Under $5000 contrary to section 334(b) CCC (two counts)
Enter Premises When Entry Prohibited contrary to section 2(1)(a)(i) of the Trespass to Property Act
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on May 31, 2018.
On Sunday May 6, 2018 a theft investigation was initiated as a result of a complaint from an Omemee business. Following an investigation, 43 year old Daniel MANLEY of Peterborough, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Theft Under $5000 contrary to section 334(b) CCC
Fail to Comply with Probation contrary to section 733.1(1) CCC
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
On Monday May 7, 2018 at 12:30 am police were called to a Fenelon Falls address for a disturbance. Following an investigation, 62 year old Peter MCDOUGALD of Fenelon Falls, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Possession of Weapon For Dangerous Purpose contrary to section 88 CCC
Assault with a Weapon contrary to section 267(a) CCC
Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) CCC
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
