Pedestrian Stuck Update: 7 Year Old Girl Upgraded To Fair Condition

Investigation revealed that the girl, who lives in Bognor, had run onto the roadway and was struck by a motorcycle travelling northbound on Grey Road 29. Speed was not a factor.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 45-year old male from Owen Sound, was transported to hospital with minor injuries and released.
No charges anticipated.
Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) and the Inter-Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
Grey Road 29 between Main Street and John Street in Bognor was closed for a few hours for the purpose of the investigation.

(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) - Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI), is currently investigating a collision involving a pedestrian on Grey Road 29, Bognor, in the Municipality of Meaford. The incident occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m. this evening, May 8, 2018.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the pedestrian had ran onto the roadway and was struck by a motorcycle travelling northbound on Grey Road 29.
The victim, a 7 year old girl, was transported via ambulance to the Owen Sound Regional Health Centre and then airlifted to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Grey Road 29 is closed between Main Street and John Street in Bognor for the purpose of the investigation which is in its early stages.
