Drug Bust Update - Tests Reveal Carfentanil

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) - On January 2, 2018, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recovered a stolen vehicle near Elora Street North, Clifford. The investigation led to five people being charged in connection with the auto theft as well as a number of drug charges. Analysis of the narcotics has revealed that the substance believed to be cocaine is carfentanil.
January 5, 2018 media release indicated the charges as:
32-year-old, Tyler James GEIGER, of Chesley, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Cocaine, Failing to Comply with Probation Order and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.
38-year-old, April Lindsay TONE of Ayton was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and Marihuana under 30 grams, and two counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.
56-year-old, David Dwight PYKE, of Clifford, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Cocaine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
35-year-old, Nicholas Arthur WARNER, of Huron-Kinloss Township, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Cocaine.
21-year-old, Brandon Robert Wayne MITCHELL of Southgate Township was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Cocaine, and Failing to Comply with Probation Order, Failing to Comply with Recognizance, Obstruct Police and Personation with Intent to Avoid Arrest.
