Body Recovered From Lake Ontario - Police Seek Witnesses

The Cobourg Fire Department and the Canadian Coast Guard attended with their marine vessels and began the search for the male who was no longer visible.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) from 8 Wing Trenton also attended with a helicopter to assist in the search efforts resulting in their recovery of a male approximately 200 metres off shore. He was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital with vital signs absent where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in tracing the last movements of Ryan John-Roger ZINKE age 32 of Cobourg, Ontario who is described as Caucasian, 5 8" (173cm), 145lbs (66kg) with a thin build. He was last seen wearing athletic shorts, no shirt and was known to frequent the Cobourg beach area.

This ongoing investigation is being conducted by detectives from the Northumberland Crime Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Paul Rosato of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
