23 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested - Name Released

At approximately 2:50 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a car on Moore Court in Zurich after receiving information that the driver may have been consuming open alcohol.
Upon stopping the motor vehicle and speaking with the driver police noticed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. Additionally, while speaking with the driver police had reason to suspect the driver had consumed some alcohol. The driver was subsequently tested on an approved screening device and his test resulted in a fail. He was immediately placed under arrest for Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and was transported to the Exeter OPP detachment for breath tests. He later provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of his samples registered over the legal limit.
Trevor GYSBERS, 23 years of age, from Bluewater has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Drive Motor Vehicle With Open Container of Alcohol. He was released from custody with a court date scheduled for July 16, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich. In addition, his driver's licence has been suspended for an automatic 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
