At approximately 12:39 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 a small hatchback entered into a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint that was set up at the intersection of Morrison Line and Rodgerville Road.
Upon speaking with the female driver police noted the driver had consumed some alcohol. A roadside test was conducted and the driver registered a fail. The female driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests.
The driver provided two samples of her breath to the Intoxilizer Technician. Upon analysis, the test results were above the legal limit. Additionally, while observing and interacting with the driver police formed the opinion the driver was impaired by alcohol.
As a result, 35-year-old Lisa ROTH from Middlesex Centre has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 23, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
Her licence was also suspended for an automatic 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
