At approximately 12:13 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle that was observed to be all over the road travelling eastbound on Dashwood Road.
An OPP officer was able to locate the vehicle as it pulled into a laneway on Dashwood Road near Shipka Line. The investigating officer spoke with the driver and upon doing so he had reason to believe the driver had consumed some alcohol. A roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a fail. The driver was placed under arrest for Drive Motor Vehicle With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and was transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment for breath tests. She subsequently provided two samples of her breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of her samples registered over the legal limit.
Heather RICHARDSON, 36 years of age, from South Huron has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She has since been released from custody with a court date scheduled for August 20, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
