Investigators determined that a lone male entered the bank, brandished a weapon to the teller and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
On June 7, 2018 members of the Provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad (R.O.P.E.) arrested a suspect in relation to a Brighton Robbery incident. The multi-jurisdictional investigation began and it was determined that this suspect committed the Napanee Robbery and remains in custody.
On July 25, 2018 Napanee OPP arrested and charged 33-year old Andrew Aaron LAMORE of No Fixed address. The accused will appear in Bail Court in Napanee at the Ontario Court of Justice July 25, 2018 to answer to the charges of
Robbery using a Firearm as per section 344(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC);
Disguise with Intent as per s351(2) of the CC; and
Two counts of Fail to comply with probation s733.1(1) CC
The investigation is continuing by the Napanee OPP Crime Unit and the Community Street Crime Unit of Napanee, Frontenac and Prince Edward County as the accused remains under investigation in several jurisdictions.
