25 Year Old From South Huron Arrested - Name Released

At approximately 10:23 p.m. Huron OPP officers were dispatched to attend an Algonquin Drive residence to investigate a crash. Officers were informed a sports utility vehicle had collided with a vehicle that was parked at the end of a private driveway.
Upon arrival officers spoke with the driver and detected the presence of alcohol. A roadside screening test was performed and the driver registered a fail. The driver was placed under arrest for Drive Motor Vehicle With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and was transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment for breath tests. He subsequently provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of his samples registered over the legal limit.
25-year-old Scott OUNSAMONE, from South Huron has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Novice Driver - Blood Alcohol Concentration Above Zero. He has been released from custody with a court date scheduled for August 20, 2018. He also received an automatic 90-day driver's licence suspension.
