Marijuana Harvest From Field Leads To Charges

The officer noticed a vehicle parked near a farm field in the area. As the officer observed the vehicle, a person walked out from the field holding a large plastic bag. A traffic stop was initiated.
The investigation revealed that the vehicle occupants were in possession of recently harvested cannabis marihuana plants. Neither occupant had lawful right over the farm property.
As a result of this investigation, 31-year-old, Neil David CONNOLLY and 29-year-old, Gena Ellen CHRISTIE, both of London, Ontario have been charged with Produce a Schedule II substance - (cannabis marihuana), pursuant to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
The accused were released and are scheduled to appear in a London court room on November 2, 2018 to answer to the charge.
