17 Year Old Caught Going 145 in an 80

Shortly after 8:30 a.m. (02Oct) a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted a sports utility vehicle travelling southbound on Base Line at a high rate of speed. A RADAR device was used to confirm the speed of the racing vehicle and the speed was measured at 145 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
A traffic stop was initiated and the class G2 Young Driver was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. The 17-year-old driver from North Huron also had licence suspended and his motor vehicle towed and impounded. He will have to attend Provincial Offences Act court in Goderich on November 20, 2018 to answer to his charge.
