At approximately 8:47 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about a two vehicle crash involving a pickup truck and a farm tractor that was hauling a gravity bin loaded with beans.
Upon arrival the investigating officer observed a heavily damaged pickup truck had collided with the rear end of the gravity bin trailer. Upon speaking with the uninjured pickup truck driver the investigating officer noted the driver was displaying signs of impairment. A roadside test was administered and the driver registered a fail. Further investigation led to the investigating officer arresting the driver for Impaired Driving. He was then transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. The driver provided two samples of his breath to the Intoxilizer Technician and both samples registered over the legal limit.
