Hanover Man Arrested After Fleeing RIDE Program

The driver was located after attempting to evade police, where officers determined that his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. He was arrested and transported to the North Perth OPP detachment for further testing.
Robert WOODS, 47-years-old, of the Town of Hanover was arrested and charged with;
Driving while ability impaired- motor vehicle (Alcohol)
Driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in blood
Resist peace officer
Flight while pursued by peace officer
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on December 17, 2018.
If police determine that you have the presence of cannabis or alcohol in your system and/or that you are impaired by any substance including illegal drugs, prescription drugs or over-the-counter medications, you will face severe consequences and potential criminal charges.
"OPP officers remain vigilant in reducing impaired driving. This is the second time in the last 7 days that a driver has failed to stop for a RIDE program. The best way to avoid impaired driving is to not take a chance; plan ahead and find another way home."
