Goderich Drug Bust - 52 Year Old From Central Huron Arrested

Earlier this year members of the Huron-Perth OPP (CSCU) unit received information about a male subject that was suspected to be involved in trafficking controlled substances within Huron County. After several months of investigation the investigation culminated on December 6, 2018 with a traffic stop conducted by members of the Huron OPP Detachment and the Huron-Perth (CSCU).
At approximately 4:26 p.m. the male subject was stopped in his vehicle at a commercial parking lot located on Huron Road in the Town of Goderich. He was placed under arrest and he was searched incident to arrest. The subsequent search resulted in police locating and seizing Methamphetamine, Oxycodone, Cannabis Marihuana, Cannabis Resin and an open container of alcohol. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances is $10,810.
Police also seized offence related property consisting of Canadian currency, electronic devices, drug packaging materials and a Toyota Corrola valued at approximately $5,000.
Russell BRANDON, 52 years of age, from Central Huron has been charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purposes of Trafficking
Possession of Oxycodone for the Purposes of Trafficking
Unlawfully Possess More Than 30 grams of Dried Cannabis in a Public Place
Have Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle With an Unsealed Container of Liquor
He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for January 21, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
