23 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving - Name Released

At approximately 2:01 a.m. on January 19, 2019 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol stopped a car travelling on Bridge Road for a sobriety and documentation check.
Upon speaking with the driver the officer noticed the driver had consumed some alcohol. As such a roadside breath sample demand was given to the driver. He complied and his roadside sample resulted in a fail.
He was placed under arrest and was subsequently transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. He subsequently provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of his samples registered over the legal limit.
James BROWN, 23 years of age from Huron East has been charged with Impaired Operation - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 Plus. He was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for February 25, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich. His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his licence has been suspended for an automatic 90 days.
