22 Year Old Wanted By Police Arrested After Foot Chase

At approximately 7:39 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 Huron OPP officers received a call about a suspicious vehicle with two occupants inside that was parked at the Bruce Street apartment complex.
Police attended the location and found a male and a female sleeping inside the vehicle. Upon speaking with the male passenger police identified him and learned the male was currently wanted by Huron OPP and Wingham Police Service.
The male was directed out of his vehicle and when the officer attempted to place the male under arrest he resisted arrest and took off running from the officer. The male was tracked over the icy and snowy terrain for several blocks and was eventually cornered by officers behind the Maitland Valley Medical Centre. The male was unable to escape this time and was taken into custody.
In addition to his outstanding charges, Kenneth HIUSSER, 22 years of age from Morris-Turnberry has been charged with Resist Peace Officer. He remains in custody with a video court appearance scheduled for January 31, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich
