18 Year Old From Howick Has Vehicle Impounded For Speeding On Hwy 86

On February 1, 2019, a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North Perth Detachment was out actively and purposefully reducing the amount of distracted and inattentive drivers. A vehicle was found to be travelling in excess of fifty kilometres over the posted speed limit on Line 86, east of Listowel and was stopped by Police.
Cody WARD, 18-years-old, of the Township of Howick was charged with Race a motor vehicle-excessive speed.
The driver had a 7 day licence suspension imposed and the motor vehicle they were driving was towed for a 7 day impoundment.
The driver is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on February 26, 2019 to speak to the charge.
