Assault In Walkerton - Police Seek Public's Assistance

On March 1, 2019 at approximately 11:30 p.m. the South Bruce OPP responded to a call where an unknown suspect had assaulted the victim in the driveway of his home located on Centennial Drive in Walkerton. The suspect was at the location after getting his snowmobile stuck in a snow bank. The suspect and the victim got into a verbal dispute at which time the suspect struck the victim in the face. While members of the South Bruce OPP were responding to the call the suspect returned to the address with another male, removed the snowmobile and were last seen riding north towards Mary Street in Walkerton.
The victim has sustained serious injuries as a result of the assault.
The suspect was described as male white, 20-25 years old, clean shaven and wearing a dark multi-coloured winter jacket and a baseball cap.
The South Bruce OPP is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.
