Criminal Murders Dog During Break And Enter - Owen Sound Police Withhold Name

Police determined that the male at this home was responsible for the break in to the other west side home and had attacked the dog once inside. The dog was taken to a veterinarian where it succumbed to its injuries. The male was apprehended and taken to the hospital for treatment. There is no known connection between the male and the home that was broken into.
The 23 year old man from Owen Sound remains in custody and faces the following charges:
1. Break and Enter
2. Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
3. Cruelty to an Animal
