North Huron now claims that they have the power to force someone to maintain municipal infrastructure at their own expense and risk. This Property Standards case is being appealed, North Huron has yet to respond with date/time of the appeal, but it is more than likely going to be at the 12Aug2019 council meeting.
Speaking of Property Standards, a few photos were taken this morning around Wingham. There are still damaged/useless safety rails & obstructed stop signs. Since those have existed for years, it is clear the current head of Public Works has failed the very basics of his job. If he has any dignity left, he should offer his resignation as his apathy could have cost a life.
Weeds up to 4 feet can be found in our streets and sidewalks in Wingham and piles of garbage around the Public Works/Water yard. Sidewalks are crumbling and one section has a 4-6 inch step caused by the street sinking.
