50 Year Old Arrested Following Hit And Run - Alcohol A Factor

Police received information that a motor vehicle had struck a hydro pole, causing the pole to break. The driver then fled the scene in their motor vehicle.
A short time later, police located a vehicle with damage on Concession Drive. Upon further investigation, police determined that the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to a police station for further testing.
As a result of the police investigation, Sean KEATING, 50-year-old of Bothwell, Ontario has been charged pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC);
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs; and with,
Fail to remain, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused was issued a 90 day Automatic Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in London, Ontario on October 1, 2019.
