Fatal Collision Near Centralia - Name Of Deceased Released - Police Seeking Assistance From The Public

On Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at approximately 6:30 a.m. Huron OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and South Huron Fire Department responded to the crash scene located on Highway 4 (Richmond Street) just north of Mount Carmel Drive.
James MCINTYRE, 75 years of age, from Middlesex Centre Township died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. His vehicle was struck by a tractor trailer that was travelling northbound on Highway 4 as he was stopped waiting to make a left turn off of the highway into a private drive.
Investigators are trying to determine the sequence of events that led up to the crash as information has come to light that other vehicles were indirectly involved in the crash.
Investigators would like to speak with any witnesses to the crash, in addition, they are trying to identify and speak with the driver of one vehicle that took immediate evasive action to avoid the crash. This driver then continued travelling northbound on Highway 4 away from the collision scene.
