At approximately midnight on January 8, 2020 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting patrols in Exeter when he observed a motor vehicle travelling eastbound on Thames Road West with a burnt out headlight. A traffic stop was conducted and upon speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had consumed some alcohol.
Accordingly a Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) was conducted and the driver performed poorly on the test.
