Drunk Driver Arrested In Exeter - Gerald COOK

Shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2020 a Huron OPP officer was patrolling south of Exeter when he observed a pickup truck traveling northbound on London Road near Kirkton Road. Upon stopping the vehicle the investigating officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. Further the driver was observed to be displaying several signs of impairment.
As a result the driver was placed under arrest for impaired operation and was transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment for breath tests. The driver provided two samples of his breath to the intoxilizer technician and both test were analyzed to be over the legal limit.
Gerald COOK, 56 years of age, from South Huron has been charged with Impaired Operation and Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. The accused has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 23, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Exeter.
