Fatal Collision

On June 26, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Dryden OPP Detachment, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Fire, responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 involving a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) and passenger motor vehicle.
As a result, one individual within the passenger motor vehicle had been pronounced deceased at the scene. A post-mortem examination will be conducted at the Centre of Forensic Sciences to determine the identity of the deceased.
The occupants of the CMV sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
The OPP North West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team and OPP Collision Re-Constructionists are assisting in the investigation as it remains ongoing.
