Marie PIUZE Impaired Driving

On September 18, 2024, at approximately 11:17 p.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single motor vehicle rollover on Highway 17, West Nipissing.
During the investigation, the highway was closed in both directions from Warren to Verner for just over two hours
The lone driver received minor injuries and was transported to the local hospital by EMS.
As a result of the investigation, Marie PIUZE, 38 years-of-age, from Montreal QC, was arrested and charged with, operation while impaired alcohol and dangerous driving
The accused was release and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 3, 2024, in North Bay.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
