The incident took place on September 22nd, 2024, shortly before 9:00 p.m. where a suspect attended a business in Collingwood, produced a firearm and asked the employee to open the cash register. The employee complied and the suspect eventually left the business with an undisclosed amount of money.
Collingwood/The Blue Mountains OPP officers as well as OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) members and the OPP Canine Unit attended the area and within an hour and a half officers located the suspect who was arrested and transported to detachment.
The employee did not suffer any physical injuries and the investigation has found that the weapon produced by the suspect is believed to be a replica firearm/BB gun.
44-year-old Ryan PULOSKI of Collingwood has been charged with Robbery Using a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, Pointing a Firearm and Use a Firearm While Committing an Offence. The accused was held for a virtual bail hearing which took place on September 23rd.
