Shortly after noon June 19, 2023, three males in a stolen vehicle attended a business on Silvercreek Parkway North. They were wearing gloves, masks and sunglasses and carrying reusable shopping bags, but were unable to enter the business as the front doors were locked as a safety precaution.
Later that afternoon the males drove the same stolen vehicle to a Brantford business, where they brandished weapons and stole a large quantity of prescription medication.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, on Thursday Guelph Police arrested a 19-year-old Waterloo man who was 17 at the time of these incidents. He is charged with robbery, attempted robbery, possessing stolen property over $5,000 and several weapons offences. He will appear in court February 12.
The investigation is ongoing.
$2,700 in alcohol stolen
The Guelph Police Service is investigating after three people made off with $2,700 worth of alcohol from a business.
Just after 4 p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to a business on Speedvale Avenue East. Staff reported two men and a woman had just left the store with more than 30 bottles of scotch and tequila.
The first suspect was described as a white male wearing a blue and black coat, hoodie and Blue Jays baseball cap. The second was described as a possibly white male wearing a grey coat with black fur trim on the hood and dark pants. The third was a white female with blonde hair wearing a red coat with black fur trim on the hood and dark pants.

Witnesses to collision sought
The Guelph Police Service is looking for witnesses after a hit and run collision Monday morning.
Just before 6:30 a.m. police were called to Woodlawn Road West and Arrow Road. A driver was attempting to turn onto Woodlawn Road when his vehicle was struck, pushing it into a third vehicle. No injuries were reported.
A red sedan with significant front-end damage fled the scene westbound on Woodlawn Road. Anyone who witnessed the collision or the damaged vehicle, or has dash camera footage of the area, is asked to call Constable Todd Weinstein of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Services Unit at 519-824-1212, ext. 7185, or email [email protected].
Males sought in $17k phone theft
The Guelph Police Service is trying to identify the males in the attached photo as we continue to investigate the theft of more than $17,000 in phones and smart watches.phone theft suspects
The morning of December 11, police were called to a business at Stone Road Mall after the manager arrived to find a drawer pried open and the devices missing. Surveillance video showed two males walking around the mall until after it had closed, then one entered the stand-alone business and removed the product. A crowbar was left behind.
The stolen devices were valued at $17,810.
It is believed the males in the attached photograph have information relevant to the investigation.
