Blyth Resident Charged Details Released

On January 10, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were performing a traffic enforcement initiative when they detected a suspicious motor vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Sideroad 7 West within Wellington North Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old from Blyth was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
No name on commercial vehicle
Fail to surrender CVOR certificate
Permit operation of vehicle with load not secured as prescribed
The accused was also given warnings under the Highway Traffic Act for:
Operate commercial motor vehicle with load not secured as prescribed
Obstruct plate
Permit operation of unsafe combination of vehicles
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court Guelph at a later date.
