Drug & Weapons Bust Names Released

On January 22, 2025, members of MCAT, supported by the SPS Emergency Response Team (ERT) and K9, executed two simultaneous search warrants under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. One warrant was executed at a London Line Motel, and the second at a residence in the 200 block of London Road.
During the warrant execution at the motel, police found two individuals inside (Krystal OWEN and Jesse KROM) and they were arrested without incident. A search of the premises resulted in the seizure of:
2.71 grams of fentanyl
43 oxycodone pills
203.29 grams of cocaine
1 shotgun with a defaced serial number
26 rounds of ammunition
$1,660 in cash
Upon entry to the London Road residence, a 15-year-old male youth from the GTA attempted to flee out the rear exit and was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. In order to effect the arrest, use of a conducted energy weapon was necessary. A search of the youth uncovered:
$4,435 in cash
11 oxycodone pills
A subsequent search of the residence revealed:
A loaded Glock handgun
132.56 grams of cocaine
The total street value of the drugs and cash seized is estimated at $47,073.50.
Charges:
Kristal OWEN, 43 years of Sarnia, and Jesse KROM 34 years, both of Sarnia, have been held for bail on multiple charges including:
Firearm-related offences
Possession for the purpose of trafficking Schedule I substances
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
A young person has also been charged with multiple offences and cannot be named pursuant to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
