Riley AUMONT Was Arrested Again

On January 26, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision on Prospect Avenue in Cobalt.
OPP attended and located the unattended vehicle. Shortly after, the driver was located, arrested for impaired driving and transported a local hospital for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, one person was charged with several Criminal Code (CC) and Highway Traffic Act (HTA) offences.
Riley AUMONT, 21 years-of-age of North Cobalt was charged with:
Operation while impaired drugs
Operation while prohibited under Criminal Code
Dangerous operation
Take motor vehicle without consent
Fail to comply with probation order
Driving while under suspension two counts
Fail to remain
Fail to report damage to property
The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and remains in custody. They are scheduled to appear before the Haileybury Ontario Court of Justice on February 18, 2025.
