Michael WEIR Was Arrested Again Details Released

On February 27, 2025, at approximately 3:00am, Peterborough County OPP Officers were contacted about an individual who had been knocking on the callers door. The occupant of the residence contacted the OPP instead of opening the door and advised they heard a snowmobile start and leave the area.
Officers were in close proximity and responded to the call, attending the area to look for the individual. Officers located a snowmobile with signs of damage to it, with no one in immediate sight. Officers began searching the area for the driver based off a description provided by the caller. The driver was located a short distance away hiding in the bushes. The individual came out and began speaking with the officers at which point they detected signs of impairment. The individual was arrested.
Michael WEIR (age 43) of Keene, ON., was arrested and charged with:
· Operation while impaired
· Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Fail to comply with Release Order (two counts)
· Fail to produce licence
· Fail to produce registration
· Fail to display evidence of permit
· Fail to report date and location of occurrence
· Fail to report circumstances of collision
The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
