Joanne MARTIN Arrested Following Collision

(PEMBROKE, ON) – A driver is facing Criminal Code (CC) charges after a multi-vehicle collision in the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment area.

On February 27, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the UOV OPP responded to a collision involving three vehicles in the 800 block of Pembroke Street West. Investigation found that a vehicle left the roadway, struck a utility pole and continued on, striking two other vehicles which were parked. No injuries were reported. The driver was taken into custody and test results were more than three and a half times the legal blood alcohol limit.

As a result of this incident Joanne MARTIN, age 47 of Laurentian Valley Township, has been charged with the following CC offences:

Operation while impaired – alcohol
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus
The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke March 24, 2025.
