One Dead Dylan Shane ROBERTS Arrested

On March 24, 2024, at approximately 12:44 a.m., police were called to a single vehicle UTV collision on Pergeon Lake Road in Laurentian Hills. Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the UTV and taken to hospital by ambulance. The 22-year-old passenger from Eganville was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
A Canada-Wide warrant was issued for the arrest of the driver who was located and arrested in British Columbia with the assistance of the RCMP Fugitive Return Program. Members of OPPs East Region Bail Support Team and the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Crime Unit returned the individual to Ontario on March 5, 2025.
As a result of this incident 26-year-old Dylan Shane ROBERTS is charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:
Dangerous operation causing death Section 320.13(3) CC
Impaired operation causing death Section 320.14(3) CC
The accused was held for a bail hearing on March 6, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
The investigation was conducted with the assistance of OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and an OPP Collision Reconstructionist.
