On March 6, 2025, at approximately 1:35 p.m., the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP responded to a traffic complaint of a vehicle that had struck the guard rails on Highway 69, Sudbury.
Police attended the scene, and the driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Patrick TACCONE, 41 years-of-age, from Sudbury, was charged with, operation while impaired alcohol, and operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 3, 2025, in Sudbury.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
