Andre Cloutier Drunk Driving

On March 26, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m., members of the Elgin OPP stopped a passenger vehicle on Highway 401, in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent after observing the vehicle driving at a high rate of speed.
While speaking to the driver, the investigating officer observed signs of intoxication and a roadside approved screening device (ASD) test was administered, registering a failure. The driver was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Chatham-Kent OPP Detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Andre Cloutier, a 43-year-old from Burlington was charged with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham-Kent on April 28, 2025.
