Fatal Fire

Just before 7:00 am on March 29, 2025, police and fire personnel responded to a report of a fire at a decommissioned structure on Seventh Avenue, in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout. Police and fire crews responded to an active structure fire in the partially- demolished building. One individual was located deceased. The identity of the individual is yet to be confirmed.
The Office of the Fire Marshal is continuing this investigation in collaboration with the Sioux Lookout Fire Services, Sioux Lookout OPP, Northwest Region Crime Unit, and Forensic Identification Services.
