MCINNIS Drunk Driving

On March 29, 2025, at 1:56 a.m., Nottawasaga OPP were conducting general patrols in Alliston when an officer observed a motor vehicle fail to obey a stop sign at Church Street North, and Wellington Street West, in the Town of New Tecumseth.
The officer initiated a traffic stop and upon initially speaking to the driver, he began to display signs of impairment along with slow responses to the officers commands. The officer made a demand for the Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a Fail.
At 2:08 a.m., the driver: James MCINNIS 30 years-old, of New Tecumseth, was arrested and charge with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
In addition to the charges, the driver was issued a 90-day license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on April 24, 2025, to answer to the charges.
