Gregory DAVEY Impaired Driving

On March 31, 2025, at approximately 6:00pm, Peterborough County OPP Officers were dispatched to a report of a collision that took place on county Road 4 in Douro-Dummer Township. Upon arrival, officers located a pickup truck with its front end in the ditch. The officer approached the vehicle and observed a lone occupant in the vehicle in the drivers seat. While speaking with the driver, an open bottle of liquor was observed, and the driver was displaying signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment for further testing resulting in readings over three times the legal limit.
Gregory DAVEY (age 66) of Douro-Dummer Township, ON., was arrested and charged with;
· Operation while impaired
· Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Operation while Prohibited under the Criminal Code
The accused had their drivers licence further suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on May 6, 2025
