23 Year Old Arrested Details Released

On May 6, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit were conducting proactive traffic enforcement and observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, which led to a traffic stop being initiated on Bridge Street within Elora, Centre Wellington Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old from Fergus is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
Drive motor vehicle perform stunt excessive speed
Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
Anyone charged with drive motor vehicle perform stunt receives a 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day drivers licence suspension as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court Guelph, at a later date.
