Steven HOBSON Impaired Driving

On June 12, 2025, shortly after 9:00 a.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a traffic complaint in Tottenham heading southbound on Tottenham Road. The vehicle was described as being operated in a concerning manner, failing to stop for red lights. Officers were able to quickly locate the vehicle on Tecumseth Pines Drive, in the the Town of New Tecumseth, where they were met with the driver. During the interaction, grounds were formed that the drivers ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired, leading to the drivers arrest.
As a result of the investigation, Steven HOBSON 60-years-old of Tottenham was charged with:
Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Uttering Threats Cause death or Bodily Harm
Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
Red light fail to stop community safety zone
Fail to surrender insurance card
Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
Driver fail to surrender licence
The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on July 10, 2025, to answer to the charge.
