In May 2025, members of the Orillia Detachment CSCU launched an investigation into an individual suspected of trafficking drugs in Simcoe County. On June 26, 2025, officers from the Orillia CSCU and the Community Mobilization Unit arrested two individuals in Simcoe County and executed search warrants at the suspects residence.
Police seized the following items:
2250grams of Cocaine
$17,500 Canadian Currency
2023 Mercedes C53 AMG
Drug packaging materials
Cellular devices
As a result of the investigation Justine MOHAMMED (29) of Concord and DeAndre WRIGHT(24) of Etobicoke have both been charged with the following:
CC 354(1)(a) Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
CDSA 5(2) Possession for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine
The first accused was held pending a bail hearing on June 26, 2025 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie and the second accused was released with a future court date.
